Add a store locator to WordPress
Your location map goes into WordPress as a single block. No plugin and no coding needed.
What you get
An interactive location map with list, search and filters, right on your WordPress page. You keep managing locations in My Store Locator, and changes show up on your site without touching the code again.
Before you start
- A My Store Locator account (sign up free)
- A published map (status "Live", not "Draft")
- The embed code from the Embed Studio in the app
- Permission to edit pages in WordPress
Step by step
- In the app, open Embed Studio, select your map and copy the code from the iframe tab.
- In WordPress, open the page where the map should appear (for example "Locations") in the block editor.
- Click the plus icon and add a Custom HTML block.
- Paste the code into the block.
- Click Update or Publish, then check the live page.
The code looks roughly like this:
<iframe src="https://app.my-store-locator.com/#/m/YOUR-TOKEN" title="Store locator" style="width:100%;height:640px;border:0;max-width:100%" loading="lazy" allow="geolocation"></iframe>Elementor and other page builders work the same way: use their HTML widget.
Note: A dedicated WordPress plugin with a shortcode is coming soon. Until then, the Custom HTML block is the recommended way.
Change the template, keep the code
Every map has a fixed token. If you switch the template, adjust colours or add locations in the app, the code stays the same. Nothing to update in WordPress.
Privacy: two-click consent
In Embed Studio, turn on "Load the map only after a click (GDPR)". Visitors then see a placeholder with a privacy notice first, and the map only loads after they click "Load map". Copy the code again after switching this on, because the code changes.
Height and mobile
Width is set to 100 %, so the map fits the column it sits in. Set the height in Embed Studio (for example 480, 640 or 800 px). For pages that are mostly visited on phones, the "Mobile Sheet" template works well.
If the map does not show up
- Blank in the editor: some editor previews do not render iframes. Check the published page instead.
- "Map not available": the map is still a draft. Publish it in the app.
- Code gets stripped: some security plugins or restricted user roles filter iframes. Edit the page as an administrator or allow iframes from
app.my-store-locator.com. - Content Security Policy: if your site sends a CSP header,
frame-srcmust allowapp.my-store-locator.com.
More details are in the embedding guide.
FAQ
Do I need a plugin?
No. The Custom HTML block is enough. A dedicated plugin with a shortcode is coming soon.
Does this work with Elementor, Divi or other builders?
Yes. Use the builder's HTML or code element and paste the same code there.
Do I have to change the code when I add locations?
No. New or edited locations appear on the map automatically.
Can I show the map on several pages?
Yes. Paste the same code on each page, or create several maps in the app, for example one per region.
