Branch finder for opticians and pharmacies

Anyone who needs an eye test or wants to fill a prescription looks for the nearest branch that offers exactly that and is open right now.

The typical situation

Optician and hearing care chains, pharmacy groups and medical supply stores often run many branches with different services. One branch does eye tests and contact lens fittings, another has a hearing care department, a third offers home delivery or made-to-measure compression stockings. Many close for lunch, open shorter on Saturdays and have special hours around public holidays.

Customers usually search at short notice and on their phone. They want to know which nearby branch offers the service they need, whether it's open now and how to get an appointment.

How My Store Locator fits

Services as filters. Use custom fields to record what each branch offers: eye test, contact lenses, hearing test, home delivery, compression fitting, blood pressure check, step-free access, languages spoken. Visitors filter by them.

Opening hours with a lunch break. Two time slots per day, for example 8:30 to 13:00 and 14:30 to 18:30. Public holidays, bridge days and company holidays go in as special days. The "open now" filter shows only branches that are open at the moment.

Appointment enquiries to the branch. With the contact form in the map, customers send an enquiry to a specific branch, for example for an eye test. Enquiries arrive in the app's inbox (from Pro). It is not an appointment booking system.

Branch managers update their own data. With the store manager role (Business plan), each branch enters its special hours and changes itself. Head office keeps the overview, and a log shows every change.

New branches and refits. A custom status such as "opening soon" or "temporarily closed" controls what customers see.

Privacy that suits health topics. The map comes from our map server in Germany, without a Google key. If you like, it only loads after a click. Statistics work without cookies and without storing IP addresses. A data processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28) is available in the app. More under GDPR & security.

What My Store Locator is not

For pharmacies, the emergency rota matters. My Store Locator is not an emergency service calendar and is not synced automatically with any official rota. Link to the official emergency pharmacy search in your region for that. You can enter individual duty days as special days if you want.

Because many customers search on their phone, Mobile sheet is a good fit. On the company website, List + map works well; both are included in the Free plan. For a single branch page with a search for other branches, use Single location + search (from Pro).

For branch networks with service filters and appointment enquiries, Pro is the right plan. If branch managers should only edit their own branch, you need the roles from the Business plan. All plans under Pricing.

FAQ

Can I set the services for each branch individually?

Yes. You create custom fields once and tick them per branch. With CSV import you can do this for many branches at once.

Is health data processed?

The map itself only shows branch data. If customers send an enquiry through the contact form, their message lands in the enquiry inbox. Ask people in the form not to include health details, and clarify the details with your data protection officer.

Can we show the map in German and English?

Yes. Multilingual maps in German and English are available from the Pro plan.
