Add a store locator to Wix

In the Wix editor you add the map with the "Embed code" element. It takes a few minutes.

What you get

Your locations as an interactive map with list, search and filters on your Wix site. The data lives in My Store Locator; Wix only displays the map.

Before you start

  • A My Store Locator account (sign up free)
  • A published map (status "Live")
  • The embed code from the Embed Studio in the app
  • Access to the Wix editor for your site

Step by step

  1. In the app's Embed Studio, copy the code (the Wix or iframe tab).
  2. In the Wix editor, click Add (+) → Embed & Code → Embed code on the left.
  3. Drag the element onto the page and choose Enter code.
  4. Choose the "Code" option, paste the code and click Update.
  5. Adjust the element size and publish.
<iframe src="https://app.my-store-locator.com/#/m/YOUR-TOKEN" title="Store locator" style="width:100%;height:640px;border:0;max-width:100%" loading="lazy" allow="geolocation"></iframe>

Labels in the Wix editor can differ slightly between editor versions. What you are looking for is the element that embeds your own HTML code.

Change the template, keep the code

Each map has a fixed token. Switching the template or colours in the app does not change the code, so the Wix element stays as it is.

Turn on "Load the map only after a click (GDPR)" in Embed Studio. Visitors first see a placeholder with a privacy notice and a "Load map" button instead of the map. Paste the updated code into the Wix element.

Height and mobile

Wix shows embedded code in a frame with a fixed size. Make the element at least as tall as the height in the code (for example 640 px), otherwise the map gets cut off. Check the mobile view in the Wix editor too and adjust the size there.

If the map does not show up

  • Blank in the editor: embedded code does not always load in the editor preview. Check the published page.
  • Map cut off or with scroll bars: the Wix element is smaller than the configured height. Make the element bigger or reduce the height in Embed Studio.
  • "Map not available": the map is still a draft. Publish it in the app.

FAQ

Do I need a specific Wix plan?

The "Embed code" element is available in the Wix editor. Whether any limits apply to your site depends on your Wix plan – check in Wix if unsure.

Does "use my location" work in Wix?

The code allows location access (allow="geolocation"). The browser asks visitors for permission first.

Can I show several maps on one page?

Yes. Add a separate "Embed code" element for each map with its own code.

Try it with your own locations.

Create an account, import your locations, embed the map. The Free plan stays free – and you can test Pro for 14 days.
