Add a store locator to Shopware 6
Self-hosted shops on Shopware 6.7 can use our plugin with its own Shopping Experience element. Without the plugin, the map goes into your shop through a Shopping Experience or a theme template.
Plugin available as a downloadFor Shopware 6.7 (self-hosted) with its own Shopping Experience element "Store Locator". The embed code keeps working.

What you get
A location map with search, filters and directions in your Shopware shop - for example on a "Stores" or "Find a dealer" page. You manage locations in My Store Locator, independent of products and orders.
Before you start
- A My Store Locator account (sign up free)
- A published map (status "Live")
- For the way without the plugin, the embed code from the Embed Studio in the app
- Access to the Shopware Administration; for option 2 also access to the server or theme
Install the plugin
- Download the zip file above. Do not unzip it.
- In the Administration, open Extensions → My extensions and click Upload extension. Choose the file.
- In the list, click Install next to My Store Locator – store finder & dealer map and switch the extension on.
The plugin runs in self-hosted shops on Shopware 6.7. Shopware Cloud does not allow uploading your own plugins, and for older versions please use the ways without the plugin below.
Connect to My Store Locator
- Open Extensions → My extensions, click the … menu next to My Store Locator and choose Configure.
- In the Map card, paste the token into the Default map token field. The embed code or the map link work too. Or click Connect with My Store Locator, log in and pick your map. Click Save.
- Open Content → Shopping Experiences and a layout. Drag the Store Locator (My Store Locator) block from the block category Commerce onto the page and assign the layout to a category or landing page.
Two-click consent (Two-click mode in the Privacy card) is on by default. Each element can use a different map, height or language.
Updates
Shopware does not update a plugin installed from a zip by itself. For a new version, upload the new file from this page again with Upload extension and then click Update on the extension. Once the plugin is in the Shopware Store, you will find it here.
Without the plugin, option 1: Shopping Experience with a text element
- In Embed Studio, copy the code from the iframe tab.
- In the Administration, open Content → Shopping Experiences and create a landing page or shop page, for example "Stores".
- Add a block with a Text element.
- In the text editor, switch to source view with the </> icon and paste the code.
- Save, assign the Shopping Experience to a category or landing page and check the page in your shop.
<iframe src="https://app.my-store-locator.com/#/m/YOUR-TOKEN" title="Store locator" style="width:100%;height:640px;border:0;max-width:100%" loading="lazy" allow="geolocation"></iframe>Important from Shopware 6.5: the built-in HTML sanitizer removes iframes from text elements unless they are allowed. If the code is cut off after saving, the sanitizer configuration of a self-hosted shop (config/packages/z-shopware.yaml, section html_sanitizer) has to allow iframe and its attributes. Your agency or hosting provider can do that. In Shopware Cloud this setting is not accessible - use option 2 there. In self-hosted shops our plugin is the easier way, because it needs no sanitizer changes. Details in the Shopware documentation on the HTML sanitizer (external link).
Without the plugin, option 2: in the theme template
Your agency can add the code to a Twig template of your theme, for example a dedicated page template for "Stores". For developers the widget is a good fit, because it adjusts its height to the content:
<div id="mystorelocator" data-token="YOUR-TOKEN" data-height="auto" data-lang="en" data-consent="true"></div>
<script src="https://app.my-store-locator.com/widget.js" async defer></script>Privacy: two-click consent
In Embed Studio, turn on "Load the map only after a click (GDPR)" and copy the code again. Visitors then see a placeholder with a privacy notice first, and the map only loads after a click. More under GDPR & security.
If the map does not show up
- Code is cut off after saving: the HTML sanitizer filters the iframe (see option 1).
- Cache: clear the shop cache after changing configuration or theme.
- "Map not available": the map is still a draft. Publish it in the app.
- Content Security Policy: if your site sends a CSP,
frame-srcmust allowapp.my-store-locator.com(for the widget alsoscript-src).
All options are explained in the embedding guide.
