What Storemapper does well

Storemapper is an established store locator from the US, and it has real strengths:

  • Unlimited traffic on every plan. According to its pricing page there is no cap on map views and no extra usage charges.
  • Guides for many platforms, from Shopify and WordPress to Squarespace and BigCommerce.
  • Large location counts: up to 10,000 locations on Premium, unlimited on Corporate.
  • A trial without a credit card (7 days) and industry demos on the website.

If your map gets a lot of traffic and you are happy working with an English-language vendor, Storemapper is a solid choice.

Where the differences are

Pricing model. Storemapper does not cap traffic, but several features sit in higher plans - opening hours, multi-language and analytics start at Premium. My Store Locator plans are mainly defined by locations, maps, users and monthly map views; opening hours, filters and statistics are part of the app. If your locator page gets very heavy traffic, do the maths for both.

Data protection. We host in Germany, provide a DPA inside the app and ship a consent mode: visitors first see a placeholder with a privacy notice instead of the map. More on GDPR & security. We found no statement on hosting location or GDPR on Storemapper's website - that does not mean there is none. If it matters to you, ask the vendor.

Language. Our app, the public map and this website are available in German and English - useful if your team or your visitors are in German-speaking countries.

Embedding. Both tools work with common site builders and CMS. We offer iframe code, a JavaScript widget and step-by-step guides, e.g. for WordPress and Shopify. A WordPress plugin is coming soon.

Which one should you choose?

Storemapper is likely the better fit if

  • your locator gets very high traffic and you want no cap on views,
  • you need features such as Google Reviews or "shoppable products",
  • working in English is no issue for your team.

My Store Locator is likely the better fit if

  • hosting in Germany and a DPA are requirements for you,
  • the map should wait for consent without custom code,
  • you want to start free with a small network,
  • store managers should edit only their own locations,
  • you prefer a German-language interface.

The easiest way is to try both. You can test our demo without signing up - use the demo button on the login page.

FAQ

Can I move my locations from Storemapper?

Yes, as long as you can export your data as a spreadsheet. Save it as CSV and import it; you map the columns during import. Up to 5,000 rows per run are possible. See Import.

Why does Storemapper show two prices for the Pro plan?

On 13 Oct 2026 its pricing page listed Pro at $49.99 on the plan card and at $39.99 per month in the comparison table. Only the vendor can tell you which price applies.

Do I need a Google Maps key for My Store Locator?

No. The map currently uses OpenStreetMap via Leaflet. Google Maps is coming soon and will then require your own API key.

Are your prices final?

Not yet. See Pricing for the current plans. All prices plus VAT.

Try it with your own locations.

Create an account, import your locations, embed the map. The Free plan stays free - and you can test Pro for 14 days.
